Garmin currently lists a minimum indoor space of 15 ft long × 8 ft wide × 8 ft high, with the R10 6–8 ft behind the ball and the ball at least 8 ft from the screen/net.

Depth is the defining constraint
The R10 uses radar from behind the golfer, so the monitor runway plus ball-to-screen distance creates a hard depth requirement.
